Shirley Ann Malcolm Jackson, aged 76, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Douglasville, Georgia. She was born to Robert and Evelyn Malcolm on July 13, 1949, at Crawford Long Hospital in Fulton County Georgia.
After graduating from Douglas County High School, Shirley worked at United Airlines as a stewardess, at UPS, and at Bristol Myers Pharmaceutical company. She later went on to become a matchmaker for Great Expectations Dating Service, helping hundreds of couples find love, a role in which she held great pride. Following retirement, she found new joy in helping her daughter, Tiffany, and son, Shain, running errands and helping with their businesses, Atlanta West Jewelry and Brides Atlanta.
She loved frozen Piña Coladas and never met a stranger. Shirley had an amazing memory, remembering the tiniest details. Her children were the light of her life and her grandchildren were everything to her- always buying them food and gifts galore. "Nanny" was her favorite title she ever held. To know Shirley, was to love her and that contagious smile that was always with her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Tiffany Sloane Stovall, and her brother, D. L. Long.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Shain Jackson (Mandy), Corey Jackson (Kelly), her grandchildren, Anslee Daniel, Ivey, and Daci Stovall, Donovon, Kennedy, and Sage Jackson, and Chloe and Kinsley Jackson. She is also survived by siblings Jerri Bowers, Sandy Lynn George (Ronnie), and Robert Malcolm, Jr.
The family will receive friends at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The 11:00 a.m. service will be a celebration of Shirley's life to honor an amazing, selfless woman.
