Sue M. Taylor, age 81, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020. She was born February 25, 1939 in Reynolds, Georgia. She moved to Douglasville in 1959. A soft-spoken and gentle woman, Ms. Taylor was one of the sweetest people you’d meet. Family meant the world to her. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Clopers and Emma (Beeland) Montgomery; daughter, Peggy Sue Taylor; and the father of her children, Marvin F. Taylor, Sr., who passed in 2013.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Marvin F. “Junior” Taylor (Juanita) of Lithia Springs, Georgia, Perry O. Taylor of Douglasville, Georgia, and Jon R. Taylor of Douglasville, Georgia; daughters, Darla Sue Carr (David) of Douglasville, Georgia, and Laura E. Maddern (Chuck) of Roberta, Georgia; grandchildren, Heather Blair (Jeffrey), Cody Carr (Brittani), Austen Taylor, and Katie Taylor Futch (Drew); great-grandchildren, Lizzie Maddern, Jason Blair, Levi Carr and Amelia Futch; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family visitation is planned for Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A private funeral service for the family will follow at 3:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Tim Newborn officiating. Mrs. Taylor will be laid to rest at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
