Mrs. Susan Dianne Evans, age 60, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017. She was born July 10, 1957 in Rossville, Georgia. She was the best wife and sweetest sister anyone could ever have. She was studying criminal science and forensics at Clayton State University.
Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents, George and Irma Wright Griggs; her daughter, Chawna Adams; two sisters, Denise Hess and Debra Green; and a nephew, Brandon Hardagree.
She is survived by her wife of 29 years, Melissa Evans; a brother, David Edward Griggs; sisters, Donna Lee, Roxanne Beasley and Daniella Alexander; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda and Paul Pirkle; one grandson, Devin Stewart; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. A graveside service will be Thursday afternoon at 3:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Park, 6841 Tara Boulevard, Jonesboro, Georgia.
