I feel so fortunate to have known Teresa for the time I did. Since meeting Meghan over 5 years ago, it was clear how deeply she adored her mother—constantly sharing childhood stories and praising how hard Teresa worked to provide for her daughters. Teresa’s children were her world, and she offered unwavering support that helped them become the incredible people they are today.
I heard stories of Teresa’s strength—overcoming unimaginable adversity. Stories of her tenacity—remaining bold in the face of hardship. Her selflessness—always putting others first. Her kindness—offering rides, shelter, or a listening ear to those in need.
Hearing about her was one thing—experiencing her in person was another.
She was pure joy. Her appetite for adventure was infectious. Her goofy, silly energy sparked childlike wonder and healed parts of me just by being near her. She’d check in with sweet cartoon GIFs and messages like, “Hope you’re having a good day. Miss and love you!” She gave so freely—providing motherly love when I didn’t have it from my own. I’ll never forget working on a house project when she told me how good I was at painting. She later told Meghan she wanted to make sure I got the recognition I was missing elsewhere.
She made me feel seen, appreciated, and cared for—when I needed it most. She was the epitome of a great mom—always checking on her girls, always ready with advice. She was hilarious—whether cracking a quick-witted joke or being unintentionally funny, something Meghan clearly inherited. Wherever Teresa was, there was laughter.
Falling in love with Meghan was easy, and that says everything about the woman who raised her. Though our time was far too short, I’m honored to have known Teresa, to be part of her family, and to call her my future mother-in-law. I will miss her every day.

Some of my favorite childhood memories all lead back to one place; Meghan’s house. It was the place to be growing up, and that was entirely because of Teresa. She had this effortless way of letting us be kids; wild, messy, and full of imagination, whether we were accidentally breaking something or sprinting away after a round of ding-dong ditch. You’d hear her through the house: “Meghan! Casey!” and we’d try to stifle our giggles. When we were about 5, we got our hands on bottles of baby powder and decided it was time to make it “snow.” Within minutes, the room was covered the entire room. When Teresa discovered our blizzard, that familiar “Meghan! Casey!”. This went on for years. 

Her house was our sleepover headquarters and without fail, she’d order Domino’s. Those nights were all pizza, giggles, and the kind of comfort only Teresa could make feel so easy and warm. Even when she was already in bed, we’d yell her name just to come turn off the bedroom lights. She’d sigh, flip the switch, and shake her head, half exasperated, wholly loving. 

She was always the mom to pick us up from Muvico on Friday nights. While other parents might have complained, she showed up, probably tired, but always dependable. She’d roll down the window, we’d pile in laughing about the night, and it just felt like home. She was the cool mom who took us to Warped Tour, letting us live out our pop-punk dreams. 

Teresa was wonderfully gullible in the most endearing way. Meghan would make up completely fake lyrics to whatever song was popular, and not long after, we’d hear Teresa in the kitchen confidently singing every wrong word at the top of her lungs. 

Teresa had a gift for making life feel light. She created a home where laughter was constant, friendship flourished, and kids could just be kids. I’ll always be grateful for every pizza night, every giggle, every "Casey!" and every memory she gave me that still makes me smile.

Her love, her humor, and her heart will never be forgotten.

Many years have passed since I’ve seen Ms. Teresa. She is someone I’ve never forgotten though. She was always the cool mom - the fun mom. She let us get away with far too much in high school. She is the reason I had so many fun nights - but she always made sure we were safe at the end of the night. From her letting us take the car (no drivers license yet 😂), sleeping in a tent in the backyard for weeks (for fun), & to her picking us up McDonald’s any time we asked, & so much more in between. I’ll cherish this time forever. I’m deeply sorry to all the Logan sisters 🫶🏼
