Travis Ryan Garner

Mr. Travis Ryan Garner, age 42, of Panama City, Florida and formerly of Winston, died Saturday afternoon at Bay Medical Sacred Heart Hospital in Panama City. Travis was born on August 30, 1973 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Ga. the only child of Hubert Garner and Judy Jerkins Garner. Travis reached the rank of Eagle Scout in BSA Troop 61, Bethany United Methodist Church, Smyrna, GA. He graduated from South Cobb High School, Class of '91 and proudly marched with the Blue Eagle Band playing the baritone sax. His love of cars, especially GM led him ot a 25 year career in the automotive industry.

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, Albert and Mavoureen Jerkins and paternal grandparents, Ed and Pauline Garner.

Travis is survived by his wife, Melissa Thorne Garner of Panama City, his mother, Judy Garner of Douglasville, GA. and many aunts, uncles and cousins and his beloved pets, Dixie and Bandit.

The celebration of his life will be conducted on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 2 p.m. from the Rosehaven Chapel of Whitley - Garner Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
