

Wanda is survived by her daughters Brooke Jeter-Crawford and Summer Jeter; her son-in-law Raishard Crawford; her grandchildren Alexa Jeter, London Crawford, and Kerrington Crawford; her great-grandchild Blake Shinholster; her siblings Jeanne Aston-Baynes, Leslie Johnson, Shakir Abdul-Mateen, Charles Aston, and Traci Aston; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Mildred Pendleton-Aston and George Aston, and her brother Darrell “Puffy” Aston.
Born and educated in Pennsylvania, Wanda attended Slippery Rock University and Cerritos College before building a meaningful career with the Georgia Department of Labor, where she retired after ten years of service as a supervisor. Beyond her career, Wanda was actively engaged in her community through politics and volunteer work with the Democratic Party.
Wanda was a woman of faith and a member of Chapel Hill Church in Douglasville. Above all, she was a devoted mother and a proud “Nana.” She was vibrant, sassy, deeply loved, and known for her strength and spirit. A cancer survivor and warrior since 2002, Wanda faced every challenge with resilience and grace.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service will be held at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home at 8640 Rose Ave, Douglasville, GA 30134, US. The service is scheduled for November 1, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Entombment will take place at Rosehaven Memorial Park Mausoleum, 8640 Rose Avenue, Douglasville, Georgia 30134, on November 1, 2025.
