Wansa Gladstone Williams, Jr., age 76, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022. He was born on October 31, 1946 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Wansa retired from Long Island Railroad in Jamaica, New York. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, was an avid NY Yankees fan, enjoyed home improvement projects and working on cars. Wansa enjoyed spending time with his close friends, and he also enjoyed Georgia “scratch-offs”.
Preceding him in death were his father, Wansa G. Williams, Sr.; mother, Shirley Williams; brother, Welton Williams; and granddaughter, Mercedes Williams-Santiago.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 32 years, Alizabeth Williams; stepmother, Goldie Marie Williams; son, Skylar Williams-Parson; daughters, Regina Frank (Brian), Margaret Williams and Kimberly Williams; stepchildren, Shonattay Wilson (Myra) and Shaleek Blackburn (Brian); brothers, Anthony Williams (Alonda) and Rondey Williams (Sabrina); stepbrother, Leon Dunn (Rachel); stepsister, Linda Dunn; sisters-in-law, Doris Wilson, Pat Campbell, Willa Jones (Gerard) and Barbara Johnson (George); brother-in-law, Johnny Wilson (Jackie); eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; a special cousin, Willie Mae Williams; and numerous friends.
A memorial service will be Saturday, December 10, 2022 at time 11:00 AM at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home.
