Wayne was a family man through and through, but he loved his beautiful granddaughter, Charlotte, most. He was adventurous by nature, enjoying off-roading, riding motorcycles, and shooting guns. He was the President of the West Georgia Amateur Radio Society for a time, HAM Radio being another passion of his. He had the type of energy that people flocked to and was handy around the house, often tinkering on cars or electronics.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Debbie Hitch; son, Matt Hitch (Eryn); granddaughter, Charlotte Hitch; brother, Larry Hitch (Carole); nephews, David Hitch and Jonathan Hitch (Anna); and numerous other loved ones, family, and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 10, 2025 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel immediately following the visitation. He will be laid to rest at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Winston, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to GO Christian Academy: https://www.gochristianacademy.org/contact-us or the West Georgia Amateur Radio Society: https://wgars.com/
Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven is honored to be entrusted with the services of Wayne Hitch.
