Wayne William Mings

Mr. Wayne William Mings, age 80, of Douglasville, GA passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016. He was born February 16, 1936 in Denton, TX. Mr. Mings proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member at First Presbyterian Church in Douglasville, GA. He retired in 2007 after 46 years of working with Six Flags over Georgia where he was instrumental in developing Thunder River.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Frank and Irene Mings.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Mings, sons Phillip and wife Gretchen Mings and Brandon and wife Crystal Mings; daughters Debra Kay “Debbie” Worley and Chandler Bentley, Denise Mings Karpuk and Diana and husband Mark Wilson; brothers Sam and wife Sharon Mings, Albert and wife Debbie Mings as well as Richard and wife Kay Mings; sisters Betty Gray and Dorothy and husband Paul Hinman as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and other family members.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 6 until 9 o’clock pm. A funeral service will be held in the Rosehaven Chapel on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11 o’clock am with Mr. Ron Ebert officiating. Interment will follow at the Bright Star United Methodist Church Cemetery.
