Throughout his life, he wore many hats and collected more memories and adventures than could ever be captured in a single obituary. He worked as a construction worker, putting in the hard work and dedication that defined so much of his life. He served as an emergency courier delivering parts for Georgia Power during emergencies, providing him with unexpected journeys, meaningful work, and stories worth telling. He also worked as a draftsman with Lockheed Martin, where he helped design the Boeing 747. His career reflected his many talents, and willingness to take on new challenges.
Beyond his work and accomplishments, he will be remembered most for the life he lived and the love he shared with those closest to him.
His life was far too full of adventures to cover in a few paragraphs, and he will be remembered as a man whose story was bigger than words could express. The memories he created, the stories he told, and the love he leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Mr. Gresham is survived by his loving wife, Susan Gresham; children, Pam Pierce, Angie Plowman, Terry Gresham, Jeremy Brown and Karrie Martin. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Penny Belcher.
A graveside service to honor Mr. Gresham’s life will be held Tuesday, October 27 at 10:00 am at Sunrise Memorial Gardens 11261 Veterans Memorial Hwy Douglasville, GA 30134.
