Mr. William “Bill” Lewis Allen, Jr., age 80, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019. He was born September 11, 1938 in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Allen was the owner of B.A.R.E. Screen Printing and Embroidery. He was a founding member of the Douglas County Chapter of Kiwanis. Mr. Allen was an avid runner, and served as the Race Director putting on many races where the proceeds went to Emergency Management and the Douglas County Boys and Girls Club. He was known as a collector extraordinaire and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Douglasville.

Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his beloved and devoted wife of 50 years, Jean Allen; and his parents, William and Virginia (Cook) Allen, Sr.

He is survived by his daughter and her husband, Julie and Denny Fetkenhour; and one grandson, J. W. “Buddy” Perry.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. He will be interred with a private family gathering at Westview Cemetery.

What a wonderful man Bill was. He and his dear wife were such a precious couple, and I take joy in knowing they are together again. I pray Julie, J.W. and for all their extended family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
