William Aaron Brogdon

Duke was born in Donalsonville, Georgia on July 30, 1951, the son of the late Sidney Aaron Brogdon and the late Willie Mae Pearce. He is the baby of seven children in his family. Duke was very creative with his hands and was gifted with the ability to paint with oils and to enjoy woodworking. He also had a great interest in politics and religion.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Mahaffey Brogdon, daughter, Kimberly Josette Bishop; and grandchildren, Raeleigh McArn, Joseph McArn and Jonah Bishop.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Brogdon and Willie Mae Pearce Brogdon, brothers, Buford Brogdon, Don Brogdon, Houston Earl Brogdon; sisters, Frances Ford, Eleanor Johnson, Carolyn Peterman.

The family will receive friends at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 15, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Cemetery in Douglasville, Georgia.
