Jacqueline Lee Cleary

She was born Jacqueline Lee Bethea on August 17, 1949 in San Francisco, California. Her parents were Elizabeth and Buddy Bethea, both deceased. She is survived by her husband, Richard Cleary and her sister, Barbara Bethea. Jackie married high school sweetheart David Townsend. Their marriage lasted over 20 years until David died of cancer. Jackie meet Richard Cleary in 1991 and they were married in 1994. Jackie worked for Pacific Bell (subsequently SBC Communications and now a part of the new AT&T) for 30 years until her retirement in 1999. Jackie was quite talented and played piano for most of life. She left behind many friends in addition to her family. We all miss her. Jackie suffered from long-term type 2 diabetes. In lieu of flowers, her family recommends a donation to the American Diabetes Association in her name. Arrangements under the direction of Miller-Mies Mortuary, Downey, CA.
