Bessie E. North

Born February 16, 1921 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Bessie Elizabeth (Minns) North.

She was a 1938 graduate of DuBois High School and was employed as an operator for Bell Telephone Co., where she retired after 40 years of service. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, and a member of Verizon Pioneers of PA. She is a Born Again Christian as she accepted Jesus Christ as her Personal Lord and Savior.

Survivors include two brothers Gordon J. North (Betty) of New Castle, PA and James E. North (Joan) of DuBois; six nieces and nephews, and twelve great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John T. North and sister, Dolores J. North McLeod.

Funeral services will be held at Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. on Friday, March 18,2016 at 11:00 am with Reverend Robert Zilhaver officiating.

Burial will be at Morningside Cemetery.

No public visitation will be held.

Memorial remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
