Betty S. Nelson

Born on February 7, 1932 in Waverly, Kentucky; a daughter of the late Albert Sidney Mills and Anna Dennis (Bartley) Mills. On August 3, 1951 Betty married Robert L. Nelson in Henderson, Kentucky.

She enjoyed flea markets, crafting, bowling, traveling, and talking with people. Most of all she loved playing cards with her family and taking care of her home.

Survivors include a son, Stanley R. Nelson; two daughters, Rebecca S. Smith and Donna L. Kautz and husband, Rick; two grandchildren, Jeffery D. Smith and wife, Sayuri, and Wesley D. Smith; and five sisters, Dorothy Tilley of Evansville, IN, Margie Hendrickson of TX, Carolyn Shoultz of Prescott, AZ, Virginia Powell of OH, and Evelyn Kaster of Evansville, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert L. Nelson who passed away on May 2, 2008; and two brothers, Clarence Mills and Albert S. Mills.

Friends will be received at Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 4-6 pm.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 6 pm with Reverend John White officiating.

Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
