Beverly J. Johnston

She was born on February 24, 1934, the daughter of the late Clair and Mabel(Kerry) Rugh. On July 27, 1957 she married Albert Johnston, who passed away on August 4, 2008.

Bev was a graduate of DuBois High School and worked for DRMC Dietary. She was Methodist by faith. She enjoyed gardening, baking, collecting beanie babies and dolls, having picnics at the farm and going for walks in their woods. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bev is survived by four children: Kathy and her husband Joseph Fustine, DuBois; Karen and her husband Pat Kalgren, New York; Kerry and her husband Jeff Garthwaite and David R. Johnston both of DuBois; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister Yvonne (Burt) Kear of DuBois .

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son Donald D. Johnston, and three brothers: Alvin, Harry and Clarence Rugh, and a sister Shirley Pyles..

A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. with Rev. David Nagele officiating. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Friday , May 17 at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 9:00am until the hour of service.
