
Born on June 10, 1921 in Jersey City, NJ; a son of the late Conrad and Laura (Baecht) Monnheimer. On March 7, 1947 he married Winifred Curtis at St. Aedan’s Church in Jersey City, NJ.
During WWII he served as a Lieutenant in the Army Air Force.
He was a graduate of New York University and University of Houston. During his career Chuck worked as a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, managed several banks as Chief Financial Officer, and for 15 years he worked as Chief Financial Officer for the Maple Avenue Hospital and DuBois Regional Medical Center until his retirement.
In the 1970’s and 1980’s he was active in Committees and Board of Directors of the Treasure Lake Property Owner’s Association. He was a member of several civil organizations, and attended St. Bernard Church in Falls Creek.
He enjoyed playing bridge, golf, and spending time with his dogs.
Survivors include son, Michael Monnheimer of Cincinnati, OH, and daughter, Margaret Powers of WakeForest, NC; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Winifred; brothers, Arthur and Lawrence Monnheimer; and one sister, Elizabeth Wangang.
Funeral Services will be held at Christ the King Manor Chapel on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 10am with Msgr. Henry McGee officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery with full military honors being accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
