

Born on February 28, 1941 in DuBois, he was the son of the late Ruth A. (Leech) Clark. He married Shirley A. (Hoover) Clark on July 15, 1961 in DuBois.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in DuBois, the Garfield Lodge #559 F.& A.M., F.O.P, life member of the 4th Ward Hose Company and DuBois Fire Department, long time past president of the DuBois Area School Board, past governor of the DuBois Moose Lodge #94. He was also involved in many youth activities within the community.
Mr. Clark retired as DuBois Chief of Police after 36 years of service and was former owner, along with his wife, of Clark’s Corner Market in DuBois.
He is survived by four children: Darrell E. Clark II and his wife, Faith, of DuBois, Blaine D. Clark and his wife, Linda, of Locust Grove, GA, Tammy L. Mauthe and her husband, Robert, of DuBois, and Kristine M. Curley of DuBois; eleven grandchildren: Shasta Preston, Tyler Clark, Carlee Thomas, Kiley Smith, Blaine Olivia Clark, Cassie Mauthe, Ashley Mauthe, Bobbie Mauthe, Amanda Curley, Lauren Curley, and Blaine Elizabeth Curley; and six great grandchildren.
He was the last surviving member of his generation.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his mother and two sisters, Beverly McGowan and Jackie Helsel.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in DuBois with assistant pastor Ed Reich officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel on Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 2-9 PM and on Monday from 11:00 AM until the hour of services at the church.
