Gloria E. Sholes

Born on July 26, 1935 the daughter of the late Michael and Agnes(Alexander)Puyda.

She was a graduate of Sandy High School in 1953. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and was a Secretary for over ten years for Dr. Lundgren and for the Magistrates office for ten years. Gloria was also a hospice volunteer and was active in the church.

Gloria is survived by her three children: Laura Fossler of Penfield, Richard Sholes of DuBois and Daniel Sholes of DuBois; a brother Lamar Puyda of DuBois and a sister Vivian Read of DuBois; also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Sholes, whom she married on July 18, 1954 and who passed away on May 19, 2000; a brother Alvin Puyda, a sister Nelletta Divens and two infant brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Christ Lutheran Church in DuBois with Rev. Barry Folmar officiating.

Friends will be received on Thursday, March 22 from 2-4 and7-9pm at Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, in DuBois. Anadditional hour of viewing will be held on Friday from 10am until the hour of service at the church.
