
He was born on October 10, 1922 in Charleston, WV; a son to the late Walter S. Baker and Leona (Starkey) Baker.
Mr. Baker served in the United States Army during WWII as a private weapons carrier. After his military service Mr. Baker worked for Rockwell Plant #2 for 30 years until his retirement. He enjoyed yard sales, cars, and was an avid Pirates fan.
He was affiliated with St. Peters Lutheran Church in Luthersburg.
Survivors include one son, Charles “Chuck” Baker of DuBois; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rachel Cains of DuBois.
He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Mabel M. (Spessert) Baker who passed away May 1992; and one sister, Ruth Cairns.
Funeral services will be held at funeral home on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 4pm with Rev. John White officiating.
Burial will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park.
