Mary C London

Mary C.(Carrier) London, 93, of DuBois passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at Christ the King Manor. She was the wife of the late Kenneth M. London whom she married on January 8, 1941. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1985.

Born on November 10, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Goldie(Markle) Carrier.

Mary was a Beautician and owned her own shop in Summerville.

She enjoyed going to antique car shows and was proud of her own personal antique 1984 Buick Regal.

She is survived by a son: Ronald (Jeanne) London of DuBois and a daughter, Alice "Kay"(Roger) Buriak of Dauphin, Pa. A sister Goldie Amsdale of FL and a half-sister Norma Carrier-Nickles of Westville, PA. Also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Mrs. London is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Renald M. London and an infant son Jackie. Three brothers: Raymond, Jacob and Wayne Carrier; three sisters: Jane Raffetto, Ruth Carrier-Hill and Nancy Cone; and a step-brother Elmer Mushrush.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 11:00AM at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. with Reverend Kevin Orndorff officiating. Interment will be at Morningside Cemetery.

Family and Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 6:00 until 9:00PM at the funeral home. Additional viewing will be held on Thursday at 10:00Am until the time of service.
