Mildred L. "Millie" Clinton

She was born on October 11, 1921 in DuBois the daughter of the late Cecil Wright and Anna (Pearson) Walton. On June 10, 1938 she married the love of her life Glenn C. Clinton Sr., who passed away June 5, 2005.

Millie graduated from Sandy Twp High School in 1938. She went on to work at JC Penny and retired from Penn Traffic Dept. Store.

She was a lifelong member of Narrows Creek Church, where she taught Sunday school.

Millie was a wonderful mother and grandmother; nothing brought more joy to her life than being with family and cooking for them. She enjoyed reading inspirational books and the Bible.

She is survived by her three children: David H. Clinton and his wife Merry Jo of Rockton, Bonnie J. Giles and her husband Robin of Rockton and Bradley L. Clinton and his wife Cheri of DuBois; six grandchildren: Kristin (Mark) Hawthorn, Kevin (Becky) Clinton, Justin Clinton, Brent Clinton, Kayla and Ryan Gordon and Kasey Clinton. and six great grandchildren: Kelly (Chase) Monaghan, Kambree Clinton, Kami and Kendall Gordon, Asher and Noah Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Glenn “Butch” Clinton Jr. and a sister, Gladys Spicher. She was the last member of her immediate family.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 5:00pm at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. with Rev. Kevin Orndorff officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 1:00-5:00pm on Sunday, January 31 at the funeral home.
