R. Wesley Smith

Born on June 6, 1932 in Beechwoods, the son of the late James and Dorothy(Bovarid) Smith.

Mr. Smith was a self-employed business man and was a member of Beechwoods Presbyterian Church. He loved being with his family and made sure they were taken care of- he was a true family man. He was an avid Steeler and Pirates fan.

Wesley is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Samantha (Scott) Smith of Brookville, two sons: Darin Smith of Reynoldsville and Wesley and his wife Lynn Smith of Brookville; a brother, Raymond and his wife Shirley Smith of DuBois; two sisters: Mary Jane Sabota of OH and Nancy “Jean” Whitset of DuBois; a sister-in-law Mary Jean Britton Smith of Beechwoods; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother John “Jack” Smith and a sister Betty Mohney.

A private service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to: Beechwoods Presbyterian Church: 14 Beechwoods Rd. Falls Creek, PA 15840.
