

He was born on August 24, 1928 in Sandy Ridge, the son of the late Ada Swope Jacobs and Francis Warrender. He was married to Rosemary “Pat” Eisenhower on April 15, 1952, she preceded him in death on February 5, 2007.
He graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1946 and served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He retired from truck driving in 1983 from Ward Trucking and from Pinellas Co. School District in 1993.
Sam was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, Garfield Lodge F & A.M Lodge #559, Coudersport Consistory, Falls Creek Eagles, Reynoldsville Elks, Legion and Volunteer Fireman’s Association.
He enjoyed hunting, golfing, spending time at the senior center, rides in the country and trips to Salamanca.
He is survived by his three children: Peggy and her husband Joe Beningo of Ruther Glen, VA, Sam and his wife Lori Warrender of Falls Creek and Bruce and his wife Robin Warrender of Greenville, NC and; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; also survived by a sister: Louise Peifer of Seminole, Fla.
Friends will be received from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm, on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc., followed by the funeral service at 8:00pm, with Rev. Robert Zilhaver officiating. A masonic memorial service will be held at 4:00pm by the Garfield Lodge #559 F & A.M. Burial will be in Beechwoods Cemetery.
