
Born September 16, 1919 in Williamstown, PA, he was the son of the late Benjamin W. and Verdie (Kriner) Williams.
Mr. Williams graduated Gettysburg College in 1942. He served briefly in the Army. He then attended the Dickinson School of Law, graduating and passing the Bar Exam in 1946. He also taught at Dickinson. He had private law practices in Harrisburg and Williamstown. He was employed as an Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Labor and later as a Deputy Attorney General for the Department of Education for the State of Pennsylvania. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he was Special Advisor to the President of Bloomsburg University. After they retired to DuBois, Mr. Williams and his wife spent a year as Vista Volunteers for the Literacy Program in DuBois. Recently they were volunteers at DRMC. He enjoyed playing bridge, golf, reading and crossword puzzles.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Leslie Williams Aronson, DuBois; a son, William G. Williams, and his wife Melinda, Virginia Beach, VA; three grandchildren, Blake Aronson, Benjamin Williams and Casey Williams; and a great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
There will be no public viewing. Services will be private.
