

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday June 14 at 4:00 P.M. at Northview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. Monday night at Adams Funeral Home.
Officiating will be Reverend Joe Williams and Dr. Wayne Durden.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Bazemore, Kent Horton, Jeff Horton, Lawrence Odom, Bill Wilson, Wendell Broadwell, Chris Sheffield, and Bryan Sheffield.
Honarary Pallbearers will be James Hartwig, David Hart, David Colston, Adam Horton, and Todd Sheffield.
Mr. Horton was born on July 12, 1948 to the late Floyd K. Horton Sr. and the late Geraldine Horton. He was a veteran of the Army and served during the Vietnam era. He worked as a computer technician with Freedom PC in Dublin. He was of the Methodist faith and was attending Parkway Assembly of God in Macon, Georgia. He was very active with the Democratic party in Dublin, Georgia and was the founding member of the Tau Kappa Epilson Faternity at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia where he earned a Bachelor’s degree. Mr. Horton grew up in Dublin and moved to Norwood, N.C. a few years back he moved to Macon, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Horton of Macon, Three sons Kent and Amanda Horton of Norwood, N.C. Jeff and Holly Horton of Norwood, N.C. and Adam Norwood of Norwood, N.C. one sister Caromie and Chris Sheffield of Dublin. He was preceded in death by one sister Frances Kay Horton. Step Children David and Tammy Hart of Macon, Gail and Bobbie Mackenzie of Springfield, and Harold Hart of Texas.
He is also survived by Grandchildren, Riley, Ashley, Joston, Easton, Maxton, Triston Horton all of Norwood, N.C. Samatha Allman of Wilmington, N.C. and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Nephews Bryan and Casey Sheffield and great niece Ainsley of Macon, and Todd Sheffield of Dublin.
The family will be meeting at 1109 Claxton Dairy Rd.
