John W Lampp

Mr. John Welch Lampp Jr., 97, of East Dublin passed away Wednesday morning. Graveside service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Northview Cemetery with Brother Dwight Smith officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 until 8 pm Thursday, September 8, 2011.

Mr. Lampp was a member of the Church of Christ in Scott, GA, former board member of many farming organizations, former Director of Altamaha EMC and was one of 10 directors to receive the Pioneer Award from Georgia EMC. He also enjoyed working on his farm for many years.

Mr. Lampp is predeceased by his wife Lila Hinely Lampp, parents John Wesley Lampp Sr., and Hattie Jane Welch Lampp, and Son-In-Law Kenneth Currie.

Survivors include one son John Wayne Lampp (Barbara) of Acworth, GA; three daughters Madelyn Thomas (Raymond), Geraldine Haywood (Walter), and Daphine Currie all of Dublin; two cousins Gary Duffey of Statesboro, GA, and Nan Lusk of Perry, GA; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren also survive.

Grandsons and Great Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Flowers accepted or donations may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
