Joseph John Davis

Mr. Joseph John Davis, age 68, passed away Thursday July 14, 2011 at Fairview Park Hospital. Celebration of Life Service will be held on July 19, 2011 at 11:00 am at Adams Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Ga.

Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Air Force where he did four tours in Vietnam in Aircraft Maintenance; he also retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Michigan after 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion, NRA, and the North American Hunting Club.

Mr. Davis is predeceased by his mother Mary Ann Grace Goetschy-Davis; mother and father in-law, Geraldine and Irving Rosenfeld; brother, Paul Cook; aunt, Doris Goetschy; sister-in-law, Lauretta Pichel; uncle, Oscar Goetschy.

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years Iris Joy Davis, nine children: JoAnn Davis Perez-Guzman, June Grace Davis Lopez (Lazaro), Jacqueline Davis Lillicotch (Christopher), Renae Davis Odom, Stephen Davis, Christine Cook, Cheryl Cook, Allen Smith (Kim), and Lonette Penny (Mike). Twenty-two grandchildren: William, Gabrielle, Anthony, Joseph, Gavin, Robert, Megan, Patrick, Landon, Gillian, Michelle, Rachel, Brittany, Jessica, Andrew, Bianca, Nicholas, Cody, CC, Kenneth, Anthony, Lisa. Three great-grandchildren: Kalel, Sklyer & Illiana. One brother: Eugene Davis (Judy). Two sisters: Marlena McCall & Carol Davis. One brother in-law: Michael Rosenfeld. One Sister in-law: Karen Feld (George). Many nieces and nephews also survive.
