IN THE CARE OF
Schoedinger Dublin
Barbara Lee “Barb” Driscoll passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at the age of 78. After a long struggle with COPD, Barb passed peacefully in her sleep, with children and grandchildren around her at the end.
Born January 25, 1944, to Charlotte and Charles Krumm, she is survived by sister, Arlene “Clara” (Gary) Gray of Eugene, OR; son, Richard (Nicole) Driscoll of Hilliard, OH, daughter, Brenda (Bill) Boehm of Algonquin, IL, and six grandchildren.
Barb was fiercely independent and determined to do things the way she thought best, living in her own apartment until the very end, and making her own decisions. She was uniquely clever. In her youth she once ran down a wild rabbit, claiming it was easy as she just ran to where she knew the rabbit would run. She graduated from Central High School in Columbus, OH, where she was the proud recipient of the Bausch and Lomb Science medal. She was reserved until she got to know you, and then her sharp, sardonic wit would appear.
She loved several things: chocolate, tacos, Baby Yoda, and, most of all, Bigfoot. Barb was sure the Sasquatch exists and is too clever for humans to corner. Rather than having a formal service, her family will scatter her ashes in the Hocking Hills, site of numerous Bigfoot sightings.
The family wishes to thank ProMedica Hospice for their diligence in keeping Barb comfortable and preserving her dignity. The nurses and aides at ProMedica were not just her support system, but also her friends. The family could not have asked for better care.
Barb supported St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the family requests donations to St. Jude’s in lieu of flowers.
