Barbara Baumann Mueller (80) of Dublin passed away peacefully at home on June 20th with her loving sons by her side. She was born September 17, 1941, in Yugoslavia to Adam Baumann and Barbara Dech Baumann. World War II changed her family forever and after a hard journey over many years she arrived in America on March 19, 1951. She attended Mansfield Senior High School and was a graduate of the Ohio State School of Cosmetology. After several years working for the State of Ohio she was able to stay home to raise her two young boys before returning to work for The Harper Engraving and Printing Company as its receptionist until she retired. She enjoyed “antiquing”, Friday night dinners at the Windward Passage and just being around people. Her family and friends were the most important things in her life and her home (and kitchen) were always open.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Donald Mueller, her Father and Mother, Brothers: Adam, Jakob, Fredrich (Fritz), Johan, Michael, Johann, Mathias (Matz) & Josef, and Sisters: Elisabeth (Liese), Magdelena (Helen) & Katherina (Kathie).
Barbara is survived by her Sons Pete (Kara) Mueller and Michael Mueller of Dublin, Grandchildren Emma (16), Benjamin (12), Sydney (12) and Matthew (10) and a bounty of family and friends. It is truly all of you reading this and the time she spent with each and every one of you that gave her the most joy in life.
The family would like to thank her friends Susan, Ruth Ann, Kathy & Stacey, as well as the wonderful team at Hospice of Central Ohio (Valerie, Anna & Courtney) and Comfort Keepers (Shelley we are forever grateful) for helping her through the last few months. Your caring, compassion and generosity will remain forever in our hearts.
Barb enjoyed life in its entirety. She requested no formal service, but there will be a celebration of life for her and Don sometime in the future. In lieu of flowers or donations she would want all of you to get together with family and friends around a big table of food and share a wonderful time of stories and laughs. It was what she enjoyed most with all of you.
