

William E. Tappy, Jr. (a.k.a. Bill) passed away peacefully at his home on May 2, 2025, surrounded by his family in Dublin, Ohio. Bill was born in Bridgeport, Ohio, to the late William E. Tappy, Sr. and Rosetta Tappy. Along with his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother Robert L. Tappy.
Bill loved traveling with his lovely wife, other family members and friends. He enjoyed playing golf until he realized he wasn’t very good at it and fishing with his son. He was always there for his family and friends when they needed him.
Bill is survived by his lovely wife of 70 years, Morna Tappy; son, William E. Tappy, III; daughter Susan (Doug) James; sister-in-law, Linda Grimes; niece, Denise (David) Taylor; grandsons Jason (Holly) Rechtin, David (Amy) James, Logan Tappy; and two great-grandchildren.
Bill was a 1950 graduate of Bridgeport High School and served in the United States Air Force for four years stationed in Hawaii. Bill worked as district sales manager for Monroe for 25 years and Byers Chevrolet for 25 years before he retired at the age of 82.
A visitation for Bill will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017 followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m.
