Carolynne Jean Khoury, age 83 of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022. She was an only child born and raised in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Clement and Helena Brown. Carolynne graduated from Lancaster High School where she was actively involved in a number of extracurricular activities including the volleyball team and choir, as well as the Future Teachers of America, Latin, and Y-Teens Clubs. In 1961, she completed her undergraduate studies in education and history at The Ohio State University and, in the same year on June 16th, married her husband, William, in Columbus near Ohio State’s campus. Following her marriage, Carolynne spent four of the most joyous years of her life living in Jerusalem with William and his family where she taught English and Psychology. She committed the next few decades to raising their children and, for several years, sang in the choir at First United Methodist Church in Lancaster. For over thirty years, she was the Vice President of C.H. Symington & Company, Inc. where she worked alongside her husband and their two daughters. Carolynne was invariably generous and had an infectious love of learning and music that bettered the lives of everyone she met.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 60 years, William; children, Monique Khoury and Suzanne (Mark) Svensson; grandchildren, Hayley (Logan) Wright and Aubrey Svensson; many extended family members, neighbors, and dear friends.
