

He was born to William H. Carden and Mary Ann Bejeckian on September 19, 1966, in Cleveland, Ohio. Chris graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and went on to play four years of Division I baseball at Bowling Green University, where he still holds career leading records for doubles and triples.
After college, Chris dedicated himself to education, teaching at Cuyahoga Falls High School, Kenston High School, and Great Mills High School in Maryland, where he also served as an assistant principal and baseball coach. His passion for the game continued after a career in education as he became a baseball and softball instructor at Mannino’s Grand Slam and co-founder of the Ohio-All Americans softball organization.
Chris is survived by brother John Carden; sisters Anita Sherman, Marilyn Potts and Caroline Johanning; nephews Jack Johanning, Matthew Whitehurst, John Potts and Ben Carden; nieces Erin Carden and Laura Potts; and children Christopher Carden Jr., Sofie Buckley, Meadow Carden and Willow Carden.
Chris cherished every moment spent with his children, coaching softball and baseball, fishing, cooking, and hanging out with friends. His vibrant personality and booming voice made him unforgettable.
Chris took immense pride in his children and the many athletes he had the honor of coaching throughout the years.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive. Dublin, Ohio 43017.
