Darlene C. Deibel

Darlene Catherine Deibel (Irwin) age 67 of Powell, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 7, 2024. She was born on April 5, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Frank T. Irwin and Rosemary A. Irwin. She was preceded in the death by her parents, father-in-law Richard L. Deibel and daughter Jennifer L. Deibel.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Jeffrey R. Deibel, daughters Katy (Mike) Dixon, Tory (Paul) Herbert, two grandchildren (Lily Dixon and Leo Herbert), and six siblings.

Those who knew Darlene would remember her as family-oriented, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandma, and the “candle lady.” She especially loved her dog Greta or aka Coco who loved to be her shadow and enjoyed hiding dog toys. Before her passing, she enjoyed being retired and being around her family and grandchildren.

The Deibel family is holding a viewing for friends and loved ones to pay their respects on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc, 10700 Liberty Road, Powell, Ohio 43065. Graveside service will be at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High St., Lewis Center, OH 43035 at 12:15 p.m. followed by a luncheon in the Social Hall at St. Joan of Arc at 1:00 p.m.
