

David "Dave" Alan Lawhead, 59, passed away peacefully in Dublin, Ohio after a lengthy illness. Dave was born on October 26, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio to William K. and the late Janet (Jones) Lawhead. He was baptized when he was six months old at East Columbus Christian Church on April 21, 1963.
Dave is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sherri Seeley; his father, William K. Lawhead; his siblings: Thomas Lawhead, Jennifer (Jeff) Kazee and William K. Lawhead, Jr. His nephews, Ian Lawhead and Brian Lawhead. His aunt, Dorothy (Lawhead) Evans and cousin, Shawn Davis. He will also be deeply missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Dave is preceded in death by his mother Janet Lawhead and beloved dog, Zacko.
He was a 1981 graduate of Grandview High School. After graduating from high school he worked for 7 years in the electronics industry and later retired from Honda in Marysville after 27 years of service.
Dave was a member of Ohio High School Athletic Association, where he would referee girls and boys basketball and was also a member of NWBA for wheelchair basketball. Dave was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and loved to watch harness horse racing. His favorite places to eat around Columbus included Nancy's Home Cooking in Clintonville and Tommy's Pizza on Lane Avenue. He would love to share stories of how he and his brothers would sneak into Ohio State Football games at the Horseshoe in his youth. His favorite vacation spots included Marco Island and Bonita Beach, Florida. While on vacation he would love to swim, go out on a boat, watch the dolphins, walk on the beach and watching the sunrise and sunsets.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday October 30, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin Ohio 43017 from 1pm to 3pm.
