Dorian Mae Bauerle

Doria (Dorian) Mae Bauerle, born December 22, 1950, age 74, of Powell, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and strength touched those she met.

Doria is survived by her loving husband, Richard (Dick) Bauerle; her daughters, Megan (Jeremy) Strahler and Maren (Jeff) Knaus; and her cherished grandchildren, Justin, Ethan, and Landon Strahler, and Sidney and Lukas Knaus. She is also survived by her sisters, Cheryl Chaney and Alison Conners. She was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Chaney, and her parents, Edwin and Annabelle Chaney.

Doria proudly earned her bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and spent more than two decades serving patients and families at OhioHealth. Her work in customer service and patient relations reflected her deep compassion and commitment to helping others. She was recognized numerous times for going above and beyond, but her greatest reward was knowing she made a difference in people’s lives.

Beyond her career, Doria’s heart belonged to her family. She loved traveling—especially cruising, spending time by the water, decorating her home, shopping for treasures near and far, and animals of all kinds. Her creativity, strength, and unwavering loyalty were evident in everything she did. She will be remembered as a beautiful soul whose love and devotion shaped the lives of all those around her.

Services will be held at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, OH 43017 on Saturday December 20, 2025 at 2:00pm followed by visitation from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
