Elaine P. Stanko

Elaine lived a life defined by compassion, energy, and connection to others. She graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1981 and went on to attend The Ohio State University graduating in 1986. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others as an Occupational Therapist with The Ohio State University from 2011 to 2022, and most recently served as a Patient Coordinator at Ohio State University Dublin.

A devoted member of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, Elaine was deeply involved in her community. She was also an active member of the Dublin Women’s Club. In her free time, she found joy in playing tennis, participating in book club, and gathering with friends for euchre and bunko.

Elaine will be remembered for her energetic, dynamic, and charismatic spirit. Above all, she will be missed for her unwavering friendship, devotion, and love for those around her. She was a proud and loving “BeBe” to her cherished grandchildren, Kai and Leo, who brought her immense joy.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rob Stanko; her son, Michael Stanko; her daughter, Bethany (Benjamin) Dorn; and her beloved grandchildren, Kai and Leo Dorn. She is also survived by her siblings, Julie Young, Carol Metzger, Nancy Mitchell, and John Mitchell; cousins Michael Arber and Jill Arber; nieces and nephews Lindsey Madewell, Jon Metzger, Lauren Denza, Suzanne Metzger, and Grant Young; as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Rudy, and cat, Misty.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive Dublin, Ohio 43017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 7179 Avery Road Dublin, Ohio 43017, followed by a luncheon at the church at 12:00 noon.
