

Eugenia “Jean” Sedanko, 100 of Dublin, Ohio passed away on July 16, 2025. She was born in Harrisville, West Virginia on August 12, 1924, to the late Hugh and Ada Brake. After graduating from high school, she went to work for Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company in Norfolk, Virginia during World War II. She started as a telephone operator and worked to a chief operator position.
She loved to garden especially roses, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her friends. Jean was a member of Grace United Methodist Choir in Coshocton and as a member of Indian Run United Methodist Church she helped in the office with the weekly bulletin.
Jean is survived by her devoted daughter Sherry and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband John, son Keith, parents Hugh and Ada; son-in-law Jerry, 5 brothers Wendall, Linn, Donald, John and Neil Brake; 2 sisters Virginia Ihle and Lois Wright.
Per her request no visitation will be held. A graveside service will be held on Thursday July 24, 2025, at 11:00 am at Walnut Grove Cemetery 5561 Milton Road Worthington, Ohio 43085. Pastor Lynn Pease officiating.
