

Frank was born to Frank and Belle Dunbar on March 26, 1939 in Upper Arlington, Ohio, where he grew up with his sister, Charlotte, and many lifelong friends.
After graduating from Upper Arlington High School in 1957, Frank went on to study economics at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he became a proud member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and graduated in 1961. Frank went on to study law at the University of Chicago, graduating in 1964. Frank practiced law at Dunbar, Kienzle and Murphey, which became Murphey, Young and Smith and then at Squire, Sanders and Dempsey law firms before joining the Supreme Court of Ohio as a master commissioner, retiring in 2006. Throughout these years, Frank was very proud of his involvement as a charter member of the Dublin-Worthington Rotary Club.
Frank had two children from his first marriage, Matt and Megan, and married his current wife, Sharon, in 1994. They shared a love of travel and have enjoyed many wonderful adventures, including summers at Torch Lake, MI, winters in Escondido, CA, and the trip of a lifetime on 4-month Viking cruise sailing the globe in 2019.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Belle Dunbar. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Dunbar; children Matthew (Heidi) and Megan (heeten bhagat); a step-daughter, Teri Warwick; a sister Charlotte Nichols; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews and their children.
Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger Dublin where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 17 at 4:30pm, followed by visitation and gathering from 5:30pm-8:30pm. In lieu of flowers, Frank’s wishes would be for donations to be made to the Ohio Beta of Phi Delta Theta Endowment (https://www.givecampus.com/campaigns/24731/donations/new) or the Dublin-Worthington Rotary Club (P.O. Box 181, Worthington, OH 43085).
