

Gary Vincent Sheriff, Senior, 77, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026. He was born on December 17, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Vincent and Ruth Sheriff. Preceded in death by his sister Pat Skeele and her husband, George Skeele, his sister Cara Sheriff, and his nephews Joel Skeele and Nicholas Sheriff. Survived by his loving wife Angie and children Brian (Brooke) Carlisi, Gina (Scott) Hunter, Emily (Yiping) Yang and Gary (Cassie) Sheriff. Poppy had 11 grandchildren: Matan, Lior, Shayna, Annabelle, Serena, Kavon, Grayson, Declan, Paisley, Dean and Clara. He truly loved all his children and their spouses, and grandkids and enjoyed his time with them.
Gary graduated from Upper Arlington where he lettered in track and cross-country. He attended The Ohio State University and graduated from Franklin University with a major in Business Administration.
He was a very proud Marine Corp combat veteran who fought in Vietnam. He coached his kids in soccer and baseball. He refereed soccer for more than 10 years and was on the Board of Directors for the Dublin Soccer League and the Dublin Youth Athletics. Gary volunteered at the Columbus Zoo and St. Brigid of Kildare Church playing Santa Claus as well as at the VA as a certified peer support specialist.

A Memorial Service will be held at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017, on May 24, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
Visitation will take place at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017 on May 24, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
