With profound sadness and deep gratitude, we honor the life of my mother, Ginger Coco. She was the heart of our family. Her kindness, soft-voiced strength, and unwavering love and encouragement touched everyone she met. Her wisdom and warmth guided us through life’s challenges, and her humor brought light to our darkest days.
She devoted her time to her family and friendships, nurturing those around her, never hesitating to offer a helping hand or comforting word or a warm hug. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the memories we cherish, and the love she gave so freely.
Even though she is no longer with us, her love will always remain, continuing to embrace us and shine within the hearts of all who have felt its warmth.
We honor her life, her generosity, and the countless ways she inspired us.
Born on October 20, 1946, in Logan, Ohio, Mom was the second daughter of Delmar and Nellie Freeman. She grew up in Logan, making memories with her older sister Judy, younger brother Kenley, and good friends like Susan Tannehill. Following school, Mom went on to be a legal secretary and the right-hand to several of the finest attorneys in Columbus. In one such firm, she met Mark Coco, who would be the love of her life. They would marry, blending their families to create a “group of loving bozos” and enjoy nearly thirty years of love and laughter in their home in Dublin.
She is survived by her love, Mark; me, her daughter Annie (Dave); stepsons Steven and Matthew (Asha); grandchildren Fiona, Colin, Leonardo, and Enzo; her brother Kenley (Deb); brothers-in-law John and David (Mary); sister-in-law Mary Ann (Jeff); and many nieces and nephews. Mom will be deeply missed by more people than can be named. She was preceded in death by her parents Delmar and Nellie, her sister Judy and brother-in-law Larry, and her dear friend Ida. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and her community.
A memorial service will be held at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Dublin on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with a reception immediately following at the church. In lieu of flowers, our family kindly requests donations to OhioHealth’s Kobacker Hospice House, which took wonderful care of her, and of us in Mom’s last days. If able, please also consider donating blood through the American Red Cross.
