Griffin graduated from Dublin Coffman High School and took some classes at Columbus State. However, he loved his independence and decided to take some time and travel the country camping and visiting with friends and family. He was able to explore several states from Florida to Colorado to California and had many adventures along the way. While visiting the Florida Atlantic coast, he selflessly saved two women struggling in the rip tide. Paramedics said his actions certainly saved both of their lives.
Griffin had a natural ability for sports but preferred to play casually rather than competitively. He excelled at Tai Kwon Do earning a 2nd degree black belt, but also loved tennis, swimming, surfing and skateboarding.
He is survived by his parents Harry and Kimberly Gard, grandmother Linda Williams, grandfather Patrick Williams, aunts and uncles Julia and Jeff Wilkins, Lynne and John Poston, Ruth Williams, PJ and Danielle Williams, Michael and Wendy Williams, and his many cousins in Ohio and California.
Griffin was strong, kind, smart and funny. Everyone liked his bright personality and sense of humor. He was always eager to be helpful and enjoyed the satisfaction of contributing to family activities.
He will be profoundly missed and his true spirit loved eternally.
