Herman "Frank" Francis McDaniel Jr.

Herman Francis “Frank” McDaniel, age 76, of Westerville, Ohio passed away on July 11, 2022. Frank was born on February 2, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a proud graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and the University of Michigan Law School. Frank practiced law for more than 30 years in Toledo and Norwalk, OH. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Francis McDaniel and Mary Frances McDaniel. He is the loving father of Anne (Scott) Russo, Ali Grandey, and John (Stephanie) McDaniel. He doted on his grandchildren Dylan Russo, Lila and Elijah Grandey, and Charlotte McDaniel. Survived by his beloved sister Judy (David) Sweeterman, nephews and nieces, and his former spouse Barbara McDaniel. He leaves behind his dog Roxy and has been reunited with many dogs and cats we’ve loved over the years. Frank enjoyed boating, fishing, reading, listening to Motown and the Blues, traveling, and last but not least, Michigan football. We know he held on to see Michigan beat Ohio State one more time.

A brief service will be held at 3pm Friday, July 29th at SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, OH, followed by a celebration of life from 4-6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to American Cancer Society or The Humane Society of the United States.
