

Born in 1948 in Logan, West Virginia, he went on to attend Columbus College of Art and Design. He spent 39 years working for GE Superabrasives, where he earned his degree in engineering and built a long and rewarding career. He was also a proud member of the Masons and valued the friendships and connections he made throughout his life.
He was a devoted husband of 50 years, an incredible father, and a loving grandfather. His family was his greatest joy, and he was deeply loved by all who knew him.
He had a lifelong passion for cars, enjoyed a good cigar, and loved spending time at the beach. He also shared a special bond with his faithful dog and companion, Bubby, who was always by his side.
He will be remembered for his love, his strength, his sense of humor, and the many memories he created with the people closest to him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joey, his son James II and wife Deb, his grandchildren, Liam, Sadie, and James III, sisters-in-laws Margie, Sue, and Audrey, Bubby, and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, OH 43017, on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm where visitation will take place until 6:30 pm. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, August 23rd, 2026, at Schoedinger in Dubin.
