Jeff was born in Zanesville, Ohio on June 3, 1941 to Robert and Fay Oglevee. He was a 1959 graduate of Bishop Rosecrans High School in Zanesville. He continued his education at The Ohio State University and graduated in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He spent the majority of his career at Franklin International, serving as the company’s CFO.
His passion was riding his many motorcycles through twisty county roads. He loved cars and enjoyed many different sports cars over the years, but corvettes were his favorite. He read the Wall Street Journal daily and enjoyed computer games. Most of all, Jeff was proud of his family.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father Robert Oglevee, mother Fay Maxwell and sister Ann Clayton. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Beth (Spangler) Oglevee; daughter Wende Oglevee (Mike) of Columbus, son Zach Oglevee (Lindsey) of Dublin and grandson Theo Oglevee-Danhoff; mother-in-law Lee Metzger, brothers-in-law Joe and Mike Spangler, sister-in-law Martha Mattison (Alan), nephew Miles Mattison (Thea) and great niece Iris.
Schoedinger of Dublin is assisting the family with their arrangements and a private burial service for the immediate family will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff’s name can be made to a charity of your choice or the Columbus Humane Society.
