Jennifer Lyn (Troesch) Carr “Jen” passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born at the same hospital 53 years earlier on October 8, 1969 to Jerry and Elaine Troesch. She is proceeded in death by her many loving family members from the Susi, Caldwell and Troesch families, as well as her loving Godmother and lifelong influence Mary Jean MacNealy.
Jennifer is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Christopher M. Carr; son Chase Edward Carr and daughter Lauren Marie Carr, all of Dublin, OH; parents Jerry and Elaine Troesch, Marysville, OH; Mother-in-law, Susan Carr, Upper Arlington, OH; Brother, Brian Troesch (Bridget), Plain City, OH; Brother-in-law, Shawn Carr (Beth), Sterling, VA; Brother-in-law Aaron Carr (Rebecca), Hilliard, OH; Brother, Sean Aaron MacNealy (Beth Ramey), Hilliard Ohio; very special family friend, Rev. Matthew Gerlach, Diocese of Tulsa, OK; countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a great niece. A big, traditional Italian & Irish family.
Jennifer is also survived by countless friends and colleagues, whom she loved dearly. Most often, she’d be into an adventure, a walk, a bike ride or sharing a glass of Moscato wine with dearest friends Carolyn Jacob, Sandy Peecook, Kelly Muresan, Maureen Jenkins, Susan Burkhart, Susan Fox, and so many more.
Jennifer and Chris would celebrate 25 years of marriage June 27 and were planning a trip to Italy in 2024 to celebrate. The Holy Father, Pope Francis, extended his Apostolic Blessing to Jennifer and Chris on the occasion of their milestone anniversary, something Chris will always cherish and display in their home. Jennifer lived her marriage vows faithfully, taught forgiveness, courage, generosity, humility and love.
Jennifer was kind, generous and loved freely. Her children first and foremost always, as they were her life. Her family a very close second, her dearest friends, her faith and the simple joys in life. Adventure, day trips, decorating, bicycle rides, great food, laughing, coloring, reading, the St. Brigid Women’s Retreats, good wine, purses, shoes, pillows, extensive travel, her career and always her husband. Jen always had a plan and always took care of her husband, Chris.
Jennifer absolutely loved being a Dance Mom for 15 years, with the other dance moms from Dublin Dance Center & Gymnastics, often getting into mischief with Lori Williamson, Jennifer Gray, Shelly O’Neil, Michelle Fairand, Kathy Stewart, Jodi Giesler and so many more. As a mother of an Eagle Scout, she spent countless hours with the mom’s including Jennifer Hawthorne, MaryAnn Manion, Sandy Peecook, Maureen Jenkins, Kelly Muresan, and the rest of the moms of Troop 117, Dublin, OH.
A 25-year member of St. Brigid of Kildare Parish, Dublin, OH, Jen was always supporting many activities through the parish and the school. She was a newer member of the Friends of the Pontifical College Josephinum, Columbus, OH; a benefactor to Saint Meinrad Archabbey, Saint Meinrad, IN, and a member of The Country Club at Muirfield Village. Jen also served as Chair of the Landscaping Committee for the Indian Run Meadows Civic Association.
Jen was extraordinarily proud of the significant accomplishments in her career, worked harder than many, often working 12-hour days, 6 days a week. Jen served in leadership roles at JC Penney, Sears Roebuck and Company, Fitch, and the last 13 years in a national role with JP Morgan Chase & Co. Jen was incredibly gifted in business, led large scale projects and traveled extensively. Chris often worried about the extensive hours she worked, and it was at work where Jen became critically ill on Thursday. Her colleagues cared for her every moment of the way, having just concluded a very important presentation to a national team. Jen was truly happy setting strategy, solving problems, leading initiatives, collaborating, and working with her colleagues at Chase. Sincere thanks to Scott Hawthorne who opened the door so many years ago; much love also goes to so many that the JP Morgan Chase family we simply cannot name. Chris would like to recognize the magical work through this difficult time from Jamie Stellini, Jen’s current leader, Jen’s dear friends Jenna Panichi, Ryan Repp, Mauricio Delgado, and more. A very heartfelt recognition to Corrine Burger as a role model for so many years as a strong female, leading with conviction, intellect, courage and compassion across the Columbus Office. Thank you all.
Jennifer is a graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Human Ecology, with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Merchandising. This education and preparation served her well throughout her career.
Thank you to Monsignor Hendricks, Deacon Paul, Deacon Don, Kim Van Huffel, the St. Brigid Knights of Columbus and the entire St. Brigid of Kildare Parish team for your pastoral care. Thank you to all our extensive network of friends and family that are seeing us through this, we love you all.
Our hearts have been broken, however as people of strong Roman Catholic faith, we know Jen has earned her eternal reward in heaven. We all loved her, we all miss her, may she now rest in peace.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church on Thursday, June 15 at 11am followed by interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
