John was born in Wethersfield, CT, the son of the late John and Pauline Falotico.
John was first and foremost a family man. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, brother, stepfather, grandfather, great grandfather, cousin and friend. He was proud of his Italian/Sicilian heritage. Although he never made it to Italy, he often dreamed of doing so.
He worked in the manufacturing world for many years as Operations Manager, Director of Operations, Project Manager and Distribution Manager. He was particularly proud of his time with Loctite Corp. He attended Porter School of Engineering and Design. After retirement, John found joy in driving a school bus for preschool children in the Dublin Ohio school district. It was not work, but a fun and enjoyable opportunity for him, and the kids brightened his day!
John enjoyed rock music from the 60s and 70s, especially Eric Clapton, Rush and Journey. Throughout his life he was a big fan of NASCAR, The New York Yankees, The Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, and The Ohio State Buckeyes as well as golf tournaments and other sports teams.
John was a man of few words or a man of many words. Not too much in between. You never knew which John you would get at any given time. He was a good man with a big heart and a heartwarming smile. He was a blessing to those who knew him.
John is survived by his wife, Carol; two daughters, Lisa Mathis (Steve) and Tara Ketchem (TJ); two sisters and brother-in-law, Loretta Kendrick and Camilla O’Keefe (Kevin); two stepsons, Eric and Kevin Heuer; furry and devoted son, Lincoln; three brothers-in-law, Dave Smith, Craig Smith (Martha) and Mike Kerr (Glenna); three sisters-in-law, Kathy Smith, Rita Smith and Jean Fisher; six grandchildren, Zachary Falotico (Kirsten), Nick England, Brailyn Ketchem, McKayla Mathis, Konnar Mathis (Julianna), Kyah DeVaul (Kris); eight great-grandchildren, Kaden Wasko, Gabriella Lucarell, Atlas, Briar and Ryatt Falotico, Isabella Mathis, Zaid and Zias DeVaul as well as many nieces and nephews.
