Louella "Lexie" Tyus was born in Charleston, West Virginia, on September 21, 1943, to the late Helen Moore Eades and Robert Eades. She passed away on January 8, 2022, at The Grand of Dublin after an extended illness. She is preceded in death by ex-husband David Tyus, stepson David Tyus, II, and beloved partner, Dr. John Perez.
She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Tyus (Stuart) Hayes, granddaughters Jacquelyn and Athena, and many cherished friends.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Lexie loved animals and donations can be made in her name The Humane Society of the United States.
