Michael R. Luis

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Maureen Alyn (Klonne) Luis, and their two beloved children, Michelle Alyn (Luis) Blevins of North Carolina, and Timothy Michael Luis of Dublin, his daughter-in-law, Renee (Marcoulier) Luis, his six cherished grandchildren: Alyn, Christina, Colton, Elijah, Collette, and Gabriel, his devoted sister Caryl Jacobs of Cleveland, Ohio, as well as his eight nieces and nephews, and seven great-nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all.

Michael was a proud graduate of Rhodes High School, Xavier University, and the University of Cincinnati College of Law. His legal career spanned decades, with a strong focus on Estate Tax Planning and Corporate Law. After retiring from the corporate world, he continued his commitment to service as the Business Manager at St. Peter Catholic Church, where he found great fulfillment in supporting his parish community.

Michael will be remembered as a gentle and kind man with a brilliant mind and a dry, witty sense of humor. He was meticulous and thoughtful in every aspect of his life, deeply devoted to his family, loyal to his friends, and loving to the many pets that were lucky enough to be part of his life. His Catholic faith was the foundation of his life, growing even stronger with each passing year.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to St. Peter St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Powell, Ohio.

To honor Michael’s memory, the family asks that you live and speak with kindness and love your family and friends deeply – just as he did.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 10700 Liberty Rd. Powell, Ohio. A bereavement meal at St. Joan of Arc will follow the gravesite service at Resurrection Cemetery.
