

Robert (Bob) Armbruster of Powell, Ohio, and Bonita Beach, Florida, passed away Tuesday, July 7, at home after a courageous battle with cancer. His final words were “The party’s over.” His family is really going to miss him.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 10, 1951, he graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1969, met his wife at Ohio State, and got his bachelor's from Franklin University in 1973. Bob built a successful business as owner of BWA South where he worked for 50 years. He was known as a consummate salesman, fiercely dedicated to his manufacturers and customers, but utmost to his employees – he considered them friends and family. He gave generously to Ohio Health, the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, and SourcePoint. He thrived on friendly competition on the tennis court, pickle ball court, and golf course. He would battle it out with his buddies both here and in Florida.
He follows into the light his father John, his mother Marjorie, stepmother Patricia, brother David, and daughter Kelly. His memory will be cherished by his wife of 52 years Linda (Jo), son J.C., daughter Jen (Matt) Morton, brother Jay (Kathy), aunt Marilyn Schirmer, brother-in-law Don (Corrie) Williams, and many more Armbruster, Albert, and Schirmer family members.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, at St. Brigid of Kildare Church in Dublin, Ohio, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Mass at 11:00 a.m., and luncheon following. We invite all who knew and loved Bob to join us in honoring his memory.
